Break for the Border Fundraiser

St. Joseph’s National School Hacketstown are organising our
annual fundraiser event AND we want you to be part of it!
BREAK FOR THE BORDER – CARLOW to WICKLOW 10KM & 5KM
Run, Jog, Walk or Crawl

Following on from last year’s success we are holding the 2nd Annual Break for the Border fundraising event for St. Joseph’s NS on September 24th.  We would love if you and your family would come out and take part in this event and help raise much needed funds for the school.  Event details are as follows:

Race commencing at the school at 11.00am on Sunday 24th September.  The run/walk is a nice flat course out the Tinahely road and back to the school. Race will include the following:

  • Chip Race Timingmedal
  • Music & Photos at Start / Finish
  • Pre-warm up with Nathalie Lennon, Body Rock Legend
  • Water/Refreshment Stations
  • Break for the Border medals for the first 250 registered participants that completethe race
  • Refreshments and a hot cup of tea following the race/walk
  • Raffle & Children’s entertainment for those too little to take part

It would be great if you could encourage family, friends etc. to register and take part in what will be a fun morning out for everyone in the town and surrounding areas.  We are inviting local business, athletic clubs, gaa clubs to come and join us for the event and make it a day to remember!

We have issued every family in the school with a sponsorship card for the event. If you would like an extra card please contact the school office.
