4th October 2019 – Our annual fundraiser Break for the Border raised over €7,500 for St Joseph’s NS. All profits raised enhances every child’s experience and education while attending school and will be put towards fixing equipment, upgrading computers, school jerseys for teams representing the school etc.
Whether you volunteered to help on the day, provided baking and refreshments, signed up for the race, filled out sponsorship cards or bought raffle tickets, your help was greatly appreciated.
The event creates a great atmosphere in Hacketstown, showcases our beautiful school, provides a great opportunity for children to show their school to family and friends and most importantly raises much need funds for the school.
As you will see from our facebook page we receive a lot of sponsorship from our local companies (€4,300 approx) with Londis O’Reilly’s Petrol Station donating €1,200 plus €800 worth of products for refreshments etc. Together with company sponsorship and your help the Break for the Border is a huge success.
Next year’s event will take place on Sunday 20th September 2020 and preparations are already under way with a very special medal to mark the 5th anniversary of the event.
